Jon Snow in Kings Landing

Unreadit/Game of Thrones

When I first started editing this newsletter, I decided to keep /r/freefolk out of it to keep it generally positive. I must admit that after the last few episode, I just can't ignore the pitfalls and obvious flaws of this season anymore. It's sad to see entire character arcs wiped out, and there's a reason why there are so many memes and posts about this season bad writing. I still want to believe that we're going to find some redemption in the series finale, but I'm starting to lose hope.

In S1E1, Jaime Lannister pushes Bran Stark out of a window. This is subtle foreshadowing for S8E5, where eight seasons of Jaime's character development are similarly thrown out the window. r/freefolk   u/CaptainTudmoke

  • Marry a woman who steps all over you, sell slaves to keep her happy. * Caught selling slaves, exiled to Essos. * Father disowns you.
(Spoilers Extended) It should have been Davos r/asoiaf   u/flickmeatwood

In the inside the episode (which they need to stop making because it's embarrassing), D&D said they put Arya on the ground in King’s Landing to make it more real and have more tension because it’s a character people care about.

(Spoilers Main) We just witnessed GRRM's ending, his scouring of the shire. r/asoiaf   u/sam1405

That was it. That was the scouring of the shire that GRRM intended to end with. Some of it didn't make complete sense because the way we got there was very different to how the books will get there, but that was GRRM's ending for sure.

(Spoilers Extended)The show's constant flip flopping between modern morals and medieval ones to make Daenerys into a villain is ridiculous and giving me whiplash r/asoiaf   u/lunatichorse

After the last episode I just don't know what to think about Tyrion and Varys.

[Spoilers Extended] Theory after this week's episode: The Night King WON r/asoiaf   u/Inherent_Advice

Sorry for the poor formatting/detailing in this post, I'm rushing without good internet access, but I think I've finally figured out the secret Benioff & Weiss have been hinting at all along.

[NO SPOILERS] IF Cersei dies in the next episode, she will have died on Mothers Day... r/HBOGameofThrones   u/masterdebator88

Just a fourth wall breaking easter egg for the fans I guess.
